DO YOU WANT TO
BECOME A BETTER SKIER THIS YEAR?
Its
getting to be that time of year again when the snow will be falling and we will be able to
ski once again. Im sending you a special invitation to join our race team.
Were busy planning the years events, team training dates, and race dates. Some
of you will be honing your skills and some will be doing it for the first time. To join
our championship team, please fill out the application and mail it back to me as soon as
possible so I can process it before our ski season begins.
Our Pittsburgh
Ski Club Racing at Seven Springs will have all the gate training and race dates listed in
the Novembers Pittsburgh Ski Club Newsletter. You may also look on our Pittsburgh
Ski Club website for this information. After each days race, your times for the
days event will be listed in the Pittsburgh Ski Club Racing shadow box on display at
Seven Springs.
Along with
your help, Im sure we will be having the best team again for any ski club in the
region. You may participate whether you are a beginner or an experienced racer. Of course,
your age is never a factor with us. So, please return your application to me as soon as
possible. And, feel free to sign up a friend or bring one along for the fun, partying and
excitement!
You are not
permitted to shadow the gates or go into the skier line of gates during or prior to the
beginning of a race. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. At the end of the race
season, we will have an awards party where we will be giving away some very nice prizes.
Remember,
everyone is a beginner at one point or another. Just come on out and join the team and
Im sure you will become a better skier and have some fun as well.

OVERVIEW OF THE 2007-2008 PSC CHAMPIONSHIP RACE SERIES
Come out and experience the thrills (and spills) of running the gates by joining your fellow Ski Club members in the Club Championship. All skill level of skiers are encouraged to enter. Everyone who participates in our series has a chance to win skis, bindings, and poles.
Racing is a great way to improve your skiing ability because you learn to turn, turn, TURN. Almost every weekend the Club will sponsor a FREE racing clinic on the slopes at Seven Springs. You are not required to enter the Club Championship to attend the race clinics, BUT you must be a current member of the PSC.
To race during PSC scheduled times on the race course you must enter the Club Championship. See the Race and Training Schedule. Only the members entered in the Club Championship for the season will be eligible to win awards at the end of the season. As always, skiing the gates will be subject to weather and snow conditions, so be sure to check at the Seven Springs Race Shadow Box next to the Ski School desk on the day of the race or clinic.
The Championship Series costs only $20 for the season for any PSC member. This fee
includes:
